DeWitt Community Singers Fall 2026Adult ClassesCalling all lovers of choral music to join the DeWitt Community Singers! Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, September 8th in the DeWitt High School Choir Room (#416) from 7-9 pm. DeWitt Community Singers is OPEN TO ANY SINGER who is able to regularly attend rehearsals, no matter where you reside! Our Tuesday, December 8th concert, titled "A WINTER GATHERING" will feature works by Shawn Kirchner, Ola Gjeilo, Marques L.A. Garrett, Melissa Dunphy, Jake Naverud, Mack Wilberg and others. Featuring a string quartet, saxophone, percussion and Audience Sing-A-Long! Fire Up with CheerYouth ClassesOpen to kindergarten through 8th grade! Join the varsity cheer team on the track for the first quarter of the varsity football game and Fire Up with Cheer on Friday, September 11th, rain or shine!Watch your little cheerleader shine under the Friday night lights! Young panthers will join the varsity cheer team on the sidelines, experience the excitement of Friday night lights, and show their panther pride!Class registration is $60 and will be held on Wednesday, September 9th in the cafeteria at Herbison Woods from 6:00pm-7:30pm. All participants will receive free admission to the game. Parents/family members will be required to purchase a ticket for entry. *Specific details about where and when to arrive on Friday, September 11th will be handed out at the practice on September 9th.*In order to receive a t-shirt the night of the event, you must register your child by Friday August 28th by noon, no exceptions. HWE Fall Running ClubYouth ClassesThis club is for incoming 4th and 5th graders and focuses on stretching and training routines. It will serve as an introduction to competitive running and the DeWitt Middle School Cross Country Club. *Register for grade going into for the 26/27 school year.* Club Details: Dates: Tuesdays, Sept 15th-October 13th Time: 3:30pm-4:45pm Cost: $65.00 Club meeting area will be outside the main gym at Herbison Woods with the runners using the cross country trails. No cancellations for inclement weather, will utilize the main gym for running activities if the weather requires. *Parent pick up will be in the bus lot.* Fun Run will be Thursday, October 15th. NewKickin' with the Panthers K-5th Fall 2026Youth ClassesThe DeWitt Boys Varsity Soccer Team invites all K-5th students to a fun and informative skills clinic. Players will work on different skills and play at the varsity soccer field! A cool t-shirt is included with the registration. To receive a t-shirt the night of the event, registration must be received by, Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 12:00 pm - no exceptions. Camp fee will not be discounted for not receiving a t-shirt. Details: Where: Varsity Soccer Stadium (Behind Herbison Woods) When: Tuesday, September 21, 2026 Time: 6:30 pm-8:00 pm Cost: $35.00 Registrations will not be accepted in school offices. Space is limited. Event will remain open for registration until full. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the large gym at Herbison Woods Elementary. Little Panthers PreschoolWelcome to Little Panthers Preschool (LPPS)! Little Panthers Preschool serves three (3) to five (5) year old children in a multi-age learning environment. Our preschool is based on the HighScope approach which focuses on active learning, where children learn through direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events, and ideas. LPPS offers 3- and 4-half day classes. To be eligible to attend Little Panthers Preschool, children must be three (3) years of age by September 1, and fully potty trained (no diapers/pullups/no accidents at naptime). You do not need to be a DeWitt resident to apply for Little Panthers Preschool. Tuition payments are due on the 1st of the month from September 1, 2026 through April 1, 2027, for the current school year. Preschool K.I.D.S.Welcome to K.I.D.S. (Kids Incorporated with DeWitt Schools)! K.I.D.S. is a state-licensed nonprofit program administered by DeWitt Public Schools. We provide a safe, supervised environment for students from Little Panthers Preschool through 5th grade, offering developmentally appropriate programs in social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative growth. We pride ourselves on a professional staff and strong, ongoing communication with families and the community. Important Information There is a 4-day minimum payment requirement for the weeks your child attends Preschool K.I.D.S. Calendars must be submitted by 11:59 pm on the 20th of each month. Calendars turned in after the 20th will be charged a $20 late fee and approval is subject to the site director. The following business day invoices will be emailed and payment is due the next day. If payment is not submitted by the due date, your child cannot attend K.I.D.S. until payment is made. Summer K.I.D.S.Welcome to the K.I.D.S. Summer Program! Our state licensed and trained childcare staff is looking forward to a fun-filled summer with your child. Please review the important dates and information below. New Summer LocationOver the summer, the Furerstenau Early Childhood Center building will be closed for renovations. Because of this, the K.I.D.S. Summer Program will be at Schavey Road Elementary. As we get closer to summer break, families will receive more information via email regarding drop off/pick up details, room locations, etc. Important Dates April 8, 2026 - Registration packets due, including $250 registration fee. June 8, 2026 - First day of summer K.I.D.S. June 29 - July 3, 2026 - No summer K.I.D.S. DeWitt Public Schools District "Dead Week" August 19, 2026 - Last day of summer K.I.D.S. Important Information $250 Summer Activity Fee - This fee covers our weekly Wednesday ice cream bar, pizza lunch Friday’s, t-shirt, and two field trips each week. Payment is due at time of registration, no exceptions. Weekly Minimum Payment - There is a 4-day minimum payment for the weeks your child is singed up for summer K.I.D.S. Your child does not have to come every week, however the weeks they are signed up you are required to pay for at least 4 days. Ice Cream Bar - Every Wednesday, kids enjoy a ice cream bar where they pick their favorite toppings! Pizza Lunch - Friday’s are Hungry Howie’s pizza day! Kids receive two slices of pizza, bread sticks, veggies, cookie, and juice. You are welcome to pack additional food or a lunch from home if your child prefers.
