The Creative Thinking With Games class is a place where kids can come together to play classic and modern board games in a welcoming, screen-free environment. This is a four session class. Each session encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and good sportsmanship while helping kids build confidence and social skills. From strategy games to silly party favorites, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Whether your child is a first-time player or a budding board game enthusiast, they'll have the chance to learn new games, make new friends, and-most importantly-have fun! NewCommunity Lap Swim-March SessionAdult ClassesWe're so excited to bring Community Lap Swim back to the DeWitt Community for adults 18 years and older! Student swimmers who are under 18 years old may be approved upon evaluation of swim skills on a request basis. To request an evaluation, you may contact the Aquatics Coordinator at hollischoonover@dewittschools.net. In addition to registering for the class, you must also fill out the DPS Google registration form before you are able to participate. To fill out the Google form here. The winter session of Community Lap Swim will run: The March session will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:30am to 7am between March 2, 2026 and March 25, 2026. (The DeWitt Public School calendar will be followed for all school closures. If school is cancelled or not in session, the Community Lap Swim Program will also cancel.) Enter through the main high school doors (#1) on the west side of the high school. Our Tuesday, April 14, 2026 concert (location to be decided), titled, "WHAT WE CARRY" will feature works by Susan LaBarr, Ysaye M. Barnwell, Stephen Paulus, Reosephanye Powell, Andrea Ramsey, Craig Hella Johnson and others. Herbie Songsters-5th Grade ChoirYouth ClassesHerbie Songsters 2026 (formerly the Herbison Woods 5th Grade Choir Club) This class is for the 5th grade students who enjoy singing and who would like to experience singing in a choir. The choir will work on developing good singing skills by focusing on voice warm-ups, learning the notes and rhythms of choir pieces, adding musical details to the music, and playing music games. No previous singing experience is necessary...all are welcome! NFL Spring Flag Football - Sessions 1 and 2Youth ClassesDeWitt Varsity Football Presents - 2026 NFL Spring Flag Football! Is your child interested in playing flag football? Here's their chance! Flag football focuses on speed, teamwork, and skill. Instead of tackling, players pull flags from each other's belts. **Session 1 is Kindergarten-2nd grades. **Session 2 is 3rd and 4th grades. Children will join members of the DeWitt Varsity Football team where they'll learn the ins and outs of flag football. Every play is a chance to pass, catch, run, and score - giving every child the opportunity to shine. Summer K.I.D.S. 2025-2026Welcome to the K.I.D.S. Summer Program! Our state licensed and trained childcare staff is looking forward to a fun-filled summer with your child. Please review the important dates and information below. New Summer LocationOver the summer, the Furerstenau Early Childhood Center building will be closed for renovations. Because of this, the K.I.D.S. Summer Program will be at Schavey Road Elementary. As we get closer to summer break, families will receive more information via email regarding drop off/pick up details, room locations, etc. Important Dates April 8, 2026 - Registration packets due, including $250 registration fee. June 8, 2026 - First day of summer K.I.D.S. June 29 - July 3, 2026 - No summer K.I.D.S. DeWitt Public Schools District "Dead Week" August 19, 2026 - Last day of summer K.I.D.S. Important Information $250 Summer Activity Fee - This fee covers our weekly Wednesday ice cream bar, pizza lunch Friday’s, t-shirt, and two field trips each week. NewTumbling ClinicYouth ClassesThis high school tumbling class is designed for 8th - 11th grade students who want to build strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence through progressive floor skills. Athletes will learn and refine fundamental tumbling techniques such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, handsprings, and introductory flipping skills based on ability level. The class emphasizes proper technique, body control, and safety while helping students improve overall athletic performance. Participants will develop core strength, balance, agility, and spatial awareness through structured drills and skill progressions. This course is appropriate for beginners as well as experienced athletes looking to advance their tumbling abilities in a supportive and challenging environment. **Refunds will not be given for missed or canceled classes.
